At 9:02 AM on Wednesday April 19, 1995, two tons of explosives ripped apart the federal building in Oklahoma City and the psyche of America. The author of this book has written, "If [this book] had been available to the general public...the Oklahoma bombing would not have come as such a surprise." It has been considered by the Justice Department and other government agencies as the bible of right-wing militia groups, and the FBI believes it provided the blue print for the Oklahoma City bombing.
Hard to believe THIS is the literary inspiration behind some of the anti-government, racist movements today. Glad I read it though. The writer gives Turner immediate access to all sorts of weapons, chemicals, etc. without giving a plausible explanation for how it was done. Turner is a sociopath and yet we are invited to be interested in his love affair. Turner is incapable of the emotional attributes necessary to form a love interest. This is a very simple minded effort to inspire a small segment of our society. How it has succeeded at all is a mystery.
